From the Field – February 2024

By Jeanette Gottlieb

The countdown to Nowruz continues before the big day on March 19.  I hope your sabzi  is sprouting.  There are virtual Nowruz celebrations to be found on the web.  Next month I will have a list of links for those of us who do not  have a nearby live celebration.   If there are events happening in your area that would like to share with others in PCIA, please consider this monthly newsletter and our Facebook page.

The Board, meeting in January, learned that plans for the October 2025 conference in Washington, DC are progressing well.  Skip Auld and Brad Hanson are serving as co-chairs of the planning committee. In addition, The Board  discussed our policy for taking positions on advocacy issues.

From Genna Wangsness, author, of LAND BETWEEN TWO WATERS: Dennis Briskin has informed me that he was the photographer for the photo on page 226 of Land Between Two Waters.  Unfortunately, it was listed as unknow  in the  Photo Credits on page 604.  I apologize for the error.  If you have a copy of the history, please correct the mistake in your book. Thank you.
