JAHAN SALEHI

"I was born in Iran in 1954 to an American mother and Iranian father.  We moved to the U.S. when I was six years old as my father was accepted for graduate studies at the University of Kentucky.

After twenty years of executive business management, I began teaching in 2004, mainly world history classes in two community colleges, online, and at two high schools.

My undergraduate studies were at Transylvania University, my graduate work was in history, political science, languages, and sociology at Ohio State and Columbia University.  I am a member of the World History Association, President of the Persian Cultural Center of North Carolina, and I chair the board of Carolina Refugee Resettlement Agency."
